Guinea Pig Names
Having trouble deciding the perfect names for your guinea pigs? Our piggies were named by my daughters. My eldest daughter’s guinea pig is named “Raven” after her best friend at kindergarten. My youngest daughter loves the name “Amy”, so along with every doll and teddy in the house, her guinea pig’s name is, of course, Amy. It gets kind of confusing at times around here!
When we first brought the piggies home we thought we had two girl guinea pigs (or so the pet shop girl assured us!!) but as it turns out, Raven is a boy. Luckily it’s a name suitable for either boys or girls!
If human names aren’t your cup of tea, then try thinking of a name by your guinea pig’s appearance (color, markings, or size). For example:
- Cinnamon
- Blondie
- Ebony
- Fluffy
- Britches
- Curly
- Bitsie
- Bright Eyes
Names for guinea pigs can also be based on personality or quirky characteristics. Why not try:
- Snuggles
- Angel
- Flake
- Rascal
- Lightnin’
- Snoozy-nose
- Shadow
